A Call for Designers – Savannah’s own Top Design Contest

The storefront makeover is back! This time we are looking for two Designers to go Head to Head for the month of February. Select from 10,000 square feet of furnishings and design your space. Grand Harbour Furniture Homestore is located at the fountain of the Abercorn Common shopping in Savannah, Georgia. Savannah’s Furniture Store Owner Meets Mayor

Mayor Otis Johnson spoke at the January Buy Local Savannah luncheon.  Johnson spoke about the Healthy Savannah Initiative and the childhood obesity epidemic.

Genevieve Balogh wins Designer Contest

After much anticipation,Genevieve Balogh was declared the winner of Storefront Makeover designer contest at Grand Harbour Furniture store.  Genevieve was honored at a VIP warehouse party at Grand Harbour on January 14th which was sponsored in part by Loco’s Grill and Pub at Abercorn Common in Savannah.  She won a $50 store gift certificate and will be featured in a commercial which will be featured on WJCL TV. Congratulations to all our designers who entered the contest!

Many Savannah residents stopped by to vote for their favorite designer set during the month of December.  Genevieve is pictured selecting one of those voters, who won a $50 gift certificate.

Grand Harbour Sponsors Cheryl Haworth Weightlifting Classic

Erica Hall, the daughter of store owners Shannon and Jeff competed in the January 10th Cheryl Haworth Weightlifting Classic – a Coastal Empire Weightlifting event. Erica went six for six and totaled 60 kg.  Congratulations!

Marines Pick up Toys for Tots Donations

Marines stopped by Grand Harbour Furniture Store in the  Abercorn Common Shopping center to pick up all the toys donated. The Toys for Tots drive was a success with donations received from shoppers, members of the community, and shop owners.  Where did the toys go?
